Beatrijs Vanacker

Assistant Professor in French literature and Comparative literature, KU Leuven

I am an Assistant Professor at KU Leuven, Belgium, where I teach courses on French and European literature and literary translation theory.

My research interests focus on the history of translation and multilingualism, (female) authorship, and the relationship between literature and cultural identity formation in the long eighteenth century.

I am currently (co-)supervising two projects on multilingual periodicals and translators' visibilities, funded by the Research Foundation –Flanders and KU Leuven Research Fund.
